Nestled within the picturesque Quarrymill Woodland Park, The Macmillan Coffee & Gift Shop stands out as a delightful coffee shop that promises both culinary joy and a sense of community. Patrons are welcomed into a warm atmosphere, where the service is noted for its extreme friendliness and dedication. The menu, featuring freshly prepared offerings, has garnered rave reviews: from the scrumptious toasties enjoyed by Eddie Leask to the recommended malteser chocolate cake highlighted by Aditya Unni. Beyond just coffee and cakes, the café excels with its homemade delights, including a delightful broccoli and potato soup mentioned by Rae Cook, and an impressive selection of gluten-free options that cater to various dietary needs. The cakes are evidently a highlight, with Emily Hamilton-Peach emphasizing not only their delightful flavors but also the wonderful work ethos behind them, mostly driven by passionate volunteers. Visitors can enjoy their meals indoors or in the scenic outdoor setting, creating an inviting ambiance that feels both peaceful and uplifting. What truly sets The Macmillan Coffee & Gift Shop apart is the overarching mission: supporting a charitable cause while providing excellent food and a communal space. It's the perfect spot for a refreshing cuppa and a pastry, all while making a positive impact in the community.

Stopped in for a Toastie and cuppa before walking dogs in the park. Everything is prepared freshly, and the service is very friendly. Highly recommend this place. You can eat indoors or outdoors and you know you are supporting a great cause at the same time

A great surprise on our trip up north. Lovely service from the ladies, a nice coffee and a generous pot of tea and two freshly baked lemon scones. Dog friendly (outside) too. Will be back.
